The Secret Hour the first book in the Midnighters Trilogy. Written by Scott Westerfeld. Bixby, Oklahoma has a secret that only a small group knows about, and, when Jessica moves there, she joins that group. That secret is not only ancient but dangerous, and Jessica needs to learn how to deal with it. I haven’t read this series in a long time so the descriptions are all rather vague. I’ve been meaning to reread it when I get the time. I know they are great books written by an amazing author.
